MTU Aero Engines Holding AG is Germany's leading manufacturer of engine modules, components and complete aircraft engines for military and commercial applications. Following the sale of MTU Aero Engines as a wholly-owned subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG to the private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) in 2004, the company has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since the beginning of June 2005. With sales of EUR 1.9 billion in 2004, the company aims to become an indispensable systems provider for aircraft engines and the world's largest independent maintenance organization.

After studying business administration in Tübingen and Saarbrücken, Mr. Udo Stark began his professional career at Röchling Iron and Steel Works. After completing an MBA program at the renowned Harvard Business School, he worked for the Dutch Akzo Nobel Group, AGIV AG, Messer Griesheim GmbH and was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of mg technologies ag in 2003. There he was instrumental in driving forward the reorganization of the Group with a focus on mechanical and plant engineering. On January 1, Mr. Stark joined the former MTU Aero Engines GmbH as Chairman of the Executive Board. As part of the transformation into a stock corporation and the IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, he was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of MTU Aero Engines Holding AG. Mr. Stark will give a lecture at the 13th Munich Management Colloquium on the topic of "With full thrust to the stock exchange" and discuss it with the participants of the colloquium.
