Dipl.-Ing. Rainer Schulz, CEO of the REHAU Group, Muri near Bernspoke in his presentationFrom RPS to RPS2 From production system to increased performance in all areas of the company about ways and strategies to increase resource efficiency and the associated growth opportunities for an international group of companies.

Dipl.-Ing. Rainer Schulz has been Chief Executive Officer of the global REHAU Group since spring 2010. As a leading international systems manufacturer in the construction, automotive and industrial sectors, REHAU achieved sales of around EUR 2 billion in 2010 and currently employs around 15,000 people at more than 170 locations. After studying production engineering, Mr. Schulz initially held various positions in materials management and work preparation in the electronics and mechanical engineering industries. From 1995 onwards, he was responsible for global procurement at engine manufacturer BMW Rolls-Royce as production manager and subsequently as overall purchasing manager. As part of the Procurement Process Excellence concept, he successfully reengineered the key purchasing processes. The concept and its implementation were awarded the German Materials Management Prize 1999 by the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME). In 2001, Mr. Schulz moved to the globally active REHAU Group. As Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for technology, production and materials management within the management team.

In his contribution to the 19th Munich Management Colloquium, Mr. Schulz will discuss how the introduction of the Rehau Production System RPS for Group-wide standardization and performance enhancement of production-relevant processes has increased resource efficiency and reduced costs. He will also discuss the RPS2 initiative, with which Rehau is pursuing a further increase in resource efficiency and performance in all areas of the company.
