Martin Bertinchamp, CEO of Gardena AGspoke in his presentation on the topic of "In times of crisis, market shares are sustainably redistributed".
Martin Bertinchamp studied business administration at the University of Saarbrücken. He completed his studies with the title "Master of Business Administration". Mr. Bertinchamp began his professional career in 1983 as a product manager and controller at Südzucker AG. 3 years later he moved to EADS as Managing Director. Further professional stations led him to Entrelev S. A. and metabo AG. He took over the management of both companies.
Martin Bertinchamp has been CEO of Gardena AG since 2004. The company manages a leading brand in the manufacture of garden care products. In 2008, the company achieved a turnover of 420 million euros and employs around 3000 people. In addition to his role as CEO, Martin Bertinchamp is Executive Vice President of Husqvarna AB for Consumer Products outside North America.
In his contribution to the 17th Munich Management Colloquium, Mr. Bertinchamp will present and discuss the opportunities that exist for a leading manufacturer of garden products to secure new market shares in times of crisis. He will also discuss patterns of success
of his company.
