In his presentation "Strategy and innovation - the new role of the CFO", Joe Kaeser will outline specific ways and strategies for a value creation structure that is consistently geared towards profitable growth and a steady increase in value.
Siemens initiated a generational change in the Managing Board in fiscal 2005. In such a phase, many new ideas flow into the top management of the Group and new paths are taken. The central motto "continuity and change" expresses the bridge between the tried and tested and the new. the company's overriding goal is and remains sustainable and profitable growth. At the end of its transformation phase, the Group should be in a position to grow around twice as fast as the average global gross domestic product. Identifying and realizing the potential for increasing value through an intelligent and innovative value creation configuration will make a significant contribution to achieving this goal.
Joe Kaeser has been Head of Corporate Finance at Siemens AG since May 2006, prior to which he was responsible for the strategic orientation of the company as Head of Corporate Strategies since October 2004.
Kaeser was born on June 23, 1957 in Arnbruck (Regen district). After studying business administration in Regensburg, he joined Siemens in 1980 in the Components Division. There he was given increasing commercial responsibilities in Germany and abroad until 1998, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Siemens Microelectronics in San Jose, California.
In 1999, Kaeser moved to the central finance department of Siemens AG, where he set up performance controlling for the Group. He was also responsible for developing the system of target margins for the divisions as part of "Operation 2003".
In April 2001, he joined the Executive Board of the IC Mobile division as Chief Financial Officer. There, in close coordination with Group CEO Heinrich v. Pierer, he was most recently also responsible for negotiations to secure the Bocholt and Kamp-Lintfort sites.
