Jan Geldmacher has been Managing Director of Vodafone D2 GmbH for corporate customer business since September 1, 2008. The company is part of the Vodafone Group, the world's largest mobile communications group, and offers private and business customers products and services from a single source in the areas of mobile communications, landline, data services and broadband Internet. Vodafone Germany is headquartered in Düsseldorf and employs 13,000 people.
After completing his studies in Business Administration, he joined NCR GmbH/AT&T Global Information Solutions as a sales trainee in 1990. He worked there until 1995 in various management positions and at different company locations. Finally, as Global Sales Support at NCR GmbH/AT & GIS in Germany and the USA. From 1996 to 1999, Jan Geldmacher was employed by o.Tel.o Communications in Cologne as Key Account Manager, Head of Cologne/Düsseldorf Branch and finally as Head of Sales Partner Management. He was Vice President Network Operations & International Support Telecommunications Services (TCS) at Debis Systemhaus in Leinfelden-Echterdingen from 1999 to 2000. In 2000, he held the position of Head of International Networks & Joint Ventures (NI3) at Deutsche Telekom in Bonn for one year. From 2001 to 2004, Jan Geldmacher was a Member of the Management Board / Executive Board at T-Systems International in Frankfurt. From 2005, he was Chief Executive Officer at British Telecom BT (Germany) in Munich. Jan Geldmacher (born 1962) has been Managing Director of Vodafone D2 GmbH for corporate customer business since September 1, 2008.
In his contribution to the 18th Munich Management Colloquium, Mr. Jan Geldmacher will discuss how German companies with an international focus can open up global growth markets in the long term and sustainably. He will present concepts and experiences with which visionary innovations his company intends to meet the dynamics of the information and communications industry.
