Ines Kolmsee, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of SKW Stahl-Metallurgie Holding AGspoke in her presentation "Implementing a BRIC strategy in SMEs" about ways and strategies for the successful global internationalization of business activities and the associated growth opportunities for a German industrial company.

Ines Kolmsee studied energy and process engineering at the Technical University of Berlin (Germany) and graduated with two diplomas from the Ecole des Mines de St. Etienne (France). After a short period in the IT industry, she worked for A.T. Kearney as a management consultant. She obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD Business School (France and Singapore). She then worked in international key account sales for Ericsson. She then moved to Versatel Germany as Finance Director and subsequently to the finance department of ARQUES, which had previously been a minority shareholder in Versatel Germany. In 2004, she became the sole managing director of the then SKW Stahl-Metallurgie, an Arques holding, which she floated on the stock exchange in 2006 and of which she has been CEO ever since.

In her contribution to the 18th Munich Management Colloquium, Ines Kolmsee will discuss how German medium-sized companies with an international clientele can use suitable strategies to shape global industrialization in the long term and sustainably. She will present some concepts and experiences on how SKW Stahl-Metallurgie Holding AG intends to expand the internationalization of its business activities in target markets in the future.
