Imelda Labbé

Imelda Labbé has more than 35 years of experience as a C-level automotive manager in the international automotive industry.

In 1989, she completed her dual studies in business administration at the Mannheim University of Cooperative Education in cooperation with Adam Opel AG. In 2001, she graduated from Stanford
University with a Master of Science in Management. Since 1989, she has held various management positions in the General Motors Group in the areas of aftersales, sales and quality for the Opel, Chevrolet and Saab brands. She was responsible for the European aftersales business of General Motors, Head of Quality at the Opel plant in Antwerp and, as Managing Director Germany, was in charge of Opel Sales, Service and Marketing.
She moved to the Volkswagen Group in 2013. She took over responsibility for the German market at the ŠKODA brand and ensured the realignment of the brand as one of the largest volume brands in Germany. In 2016, she assumed global responsibility for the aftersales business of all Volkswagen Group brands. Until her departure from the Volkswagen Group in July 2024, she was responsible for global sales of the Volkswagen brand as Board Member for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales on the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management.
Since July 2024, she has represented over 43 % of the vehicle registration volume in Germany as President of the Association of International Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (VDIK). She is also active as a Senior Advisor and Advisory Board Member in various start-up companies and heads the Board of Directors of DAT GmbH. She was a member of the Supervisory Boards of Europcar Mobility Group, Porsche Holding Salzburg, Volkswagen Financial Services and Volkswagen France.
Automobilwoche nominated Imelda Labbé as one of the top 25 women in the automotive industry in 2024.
