The family-owned company Festo AG & Co. KG is represented in the field of control and automation technology in over 250 branches with 61 companies worldwide. Solutions are developed for factory and process automation using pneumatic and electric drive technology. To ensure customer-oriented development, future market and customer challenges are met through consistent and cross-divisional cooperation in order to introduce new innovations to the market. The focus of all areas of the company is on ensuring "quality" in order to provide customers with the best possible support in achieving their goals in a competitive market. To achieve this, process quality, products and employee qualifications must be optimally coordinated. Festo pursues this overarching understanding of quality under the term quality management. Faultless products are only the basis for this. This is why Festo strives for a zero-defect strategy in all dimensions.

Born in 1968 in the Swabian town of Metzingen, studied Frank Notz studied mechanical and industrial engineering in Esslingen and Carlow/Ireland until 1993. After completing his studies, he worked as a management consultant on market entry strategies, location analyses and business plan consulting. In 1996 he joined Festo AG & Co KG, where he has held various positions since then. Among other things, he worked for several years as a product manager at Festo USA. After his return, he headed the sales activities for the Americas region.

From May 2007 to July 2013, he was responsible for operational and strategic marketing functions worldwide, including price management, business intelligence and channel management. He was also Chief Strategy Officer in China from July 2012 to September 2013. Since July 2013, he has been responsible for Festo's global customer-specific solutions business.
