biography
Dr. Anna Herrhausen has been a member of the Executive Board of Phineo gAG, a non-profit analysis and consulting company committed to social change and impactful social investment, since May 1, 2024. In this role, she shapes the strategic development of the organization together with CEO Dr. Andreas M. Rickert.
Previously, Dr. Herrhausen was Managing Director of the Alfred Herrhausen Society from 2016 to 2023, where she led the dialog on socio-political issues of the future. From 2020 to 2023, she was also responsible for the Arts & Culture division at Deutsche Bank.
She began her professional career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company before moving to the corporate responsibility division of the Allianz Group. In 2014, she joined Deutsche Bank as Director of Communications and Social Responsibility.
Dr. Herrhausen has a wide-ranging academic background:
- Philosophy, Political Science and Economics (B.A.) at Oxford University
- Master in International Affairs at Columbia University
- Doctorate in International Relations at the Free University of Berlin
In addition to her work at PHINEO, she is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Global Perspectives Initiative, which promotes dialog between actors in African-European cooperation, as well as a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and the Board of Trustees of the Hertie School.
