Prof. Dr. Matthias Weiss

Prof. Dr. Matthias Weiss holds the ZEPPELIN Chair of Innovation Management and Transformation at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. He earned his doctorate at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and his habilitation at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, including a research stays at Bocconi University in Milan. Prior to joining Zeppelin University, he held professorships at Radboud University in Nijmegen (NL) and at Ruhr University Bochum. In his research, Matthias Weiss focuses on the human side of innovation, i.e., how organizational actors can be enabled and supported to develop and implement new products, services, and processes. His research places particular emphasis on innovation in especially challenging contexts, such as times of crisis or following failures, as well as on the role of digital transformation.
