Nico Neumann is the CEO of Deutsche Aircraft, a leading regional aircraft manufacturer based in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich. Deutsche Aircraft is pioneering more efficient and sustainable regional transportation solutions and driving the transformation of aviation towards decarbonised flying.
As the head of a fast-growing international team of over 550 employees, Nico is responsible for the development and market launch of the D328eco®, the world’s most modern, efficient and sustainable regional aircraft in its class. His team continues to deliver the highest level of reliability and support to all operators of the in-service Dornier 328 aircraft worldwide.
Under his leadership, Deutsche Aircraft, as a strategic partner for the sustainable development of regional aviation, collaborates with key players in the industry, focusing on the research, development and testing of disruptive technologies to prepare for the future of climate-neutral aviation.
To accomplish this mission, Nico draws on nearly 20 years of experience with the Dornier 328 platform, having gained diverse perspectives on the aircraft, team and company through various roles.
Nico Neumann began his journey from the shop floor to the C-suite in 2007, advancing from Team Leader Avionic/Electric at 328 Support Services GmbH to Director Maintenance/Production. Promoted to Vice President Operation & Programmes in 2020, he was responsible for relations with the German government and initiated the selection process and development of the Final Assembly Line in Leipzig. From 2022 to 2024, Nico Neumann served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Deutsche Aircraft. After half a year as Co-CEO, he was appointed CEO in June 2025.
