Achieving sustainability not through sacrifice but through innovation requires engineering. This award recognizes outstanding engineering achievements that are characterized by sustainable approaches and environmentally friendly innovations.
Innovative solutions for sustainable change
Whether it's dissolving adhesives on demand, halving the energy consumption of milk powdering machines or producing green steel and hydrogen, sustainable engineering is key. This category emphasizes solutions that are not only technologically advanced, but also resource efficient and environmentally conscious.
The technological innovations to be awarded must make a measurable contribution to environmental protection. This can be achieved through the conservation of resources, the avoidance of hazardous and harmful substances, the use of new forms of energy or the support of a circular economy. Solutions that are significantly more efficient and environmentally friendly than their competitors' products deserve public recognition.
