Acamdemic Startups

The Munich Management Kolloquium continues to demonstrate how startups can achieve outstanding success through innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. At the next Munich Management Colloquium on 9 and 10 March 2027, selected startups will once again present their companies to an audience of more than 1,000 executives. A jury of experts from industry and academia will evaluate the submissions based on criteria including:

• Degree of innovation

• Funding

• Revenue growth

• Number of customers

• Scalability

• Market potential

• Societal impact

• Transferability

The winning startups must demonstrate a measurable contribution to innovation and the competitiveness of the economy. This may include disruptive technologies, the creation of new markets, advancing digital transformation or developing sustainable business models. Public recognition is given to solutions that clearly stand out from existing alternatives through their innovation, impact and efficiency. For the Academic Start Ups category, applicants must demonstrate that the company originated from a university or research institution.
