ista has stood for continuous growth since the company was founded in 1957. The company has been pursuing a consistent internationalization strategy since the early 1990s and is now the international market leader for the consumption-based recording, meter reading and billing of heating costs, hot and cold water costs and other ancillary building costs. ista is represented in 25 countries. Its services for property managers, property owners and energy supply companies range from the supply and installation of measuring devices and consumption metering to the billing and analysis of energy data. In this way, ista makes an important contribution to the responsible use of water, heat, gas and electricity. Almost every second product is similar to a bus box and is supplied with radio technology, among other things. Walter Schmidtborn in Weilburg in 1967, joined the Management Board of ista International in October 2003. He was initially responsible for Corporate Services/Finance. In July 2004, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of ista International and the national subsidiary ista Germany. Walter Schmidt has many years of extensive professional expertise in the field of energy and water billing. He began his career at Techem in 1986, where he held various positions in operations and management before being appointed CFO in 2000.
