Dr.-Ing. Stefan Hartung

Dr.-Ing. Stefan Hartung has been Chairman of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH and a partner in Robert Bosch Industrietreu-hand KG since January 1, 2022. His areas of responsibility include corporate strategy, corporate communications and government relations as well as technology development. He is also responsible for the Corporate Sector Research and Advance Engineering and the Chief Digital Office. He is also responsible for the company Bosch Healthcare Solutions GmbH and for the Bosch business in China.
Stefan Hartung was born in Dortmund on January 13, 1966, is married and has two children. He studied mechanical engineering, specializing in production technology, at RWTH Aachen University, where he also obtained his doctorate in 1993.
He joined Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, Munich, in 2004. He previously worked for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the management consultancy McKinsey & Company in Düsseldorf.
