biography
Sabine Klauke was appointed Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Airbus on July 1, 2021 and is Executive Vice President (EVP) Engineering of the Commercial Aircraft division.
In this role, she drives the company's mission to develop breakthrough technologies for the future of aerospace. She leads a team of 13,000 Airbus engineers around the world who design, develop, certify and ensure the continued airworthiness of all Airbus Commercial Aircraft products and services.
In addition to her CTO mission at Airbus, Sabine Klauke is co-chair of the Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking, VP Aviation of the German Aerospace Industries Association
(BDLI), Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Premium Aerotec GmbH and member of the Supervisory Board of Airbus Operations GmbH.
Previously, Sabine Klauke was Chief Technical Officer at Airbus Defense and Space and a member of the divisional board. In this function, she was responsible for all engineering activities
within the Defense and Space division and for its product and service portfolio.
Prior to this position, she was program manager within the civil service division of Airbus and responsible for all programs. Klauke joined Airbus in 2002, where she worked within
of Commercial Aircraft positions with increasing responsibility in the areas of manufacturing engineering, production, development as well as various transformation and
innovation projects.
Sabine Klauke holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the Technical University (TU) Dresden. From 1998 to 2002, Klauke worked at DELMIA, a Dassault Systèmes brand, where she drove the development of digital production planning software and managed implementation projects for customers in the automotive and aerospace industries worldwide.
