Robert Mayr

The tax consultant, auditor and business graduate with a doctorate in business administration Robert Mayr has been CEO of DATEV eG since 2016. From 2014 to 2016, he was responsible for finance and purchasing on the Management Board of the Nuremberg-based software company and, since 2011, for internal data processing and production. After studying business administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, he began his professional career as a consultant at the Treuhandanstalt Berlin. In 1994, he moved to Deloitte, where he worked as a senior manager in transaction consulting until 2001. Mayr then spent nine years as managing partner of Solidaris Revisions-GmbH in Munich before becoming a board member at DATEV eG. 

Mayr has been Vice President of the Nuremberg Chamber of Tax Consultants since 2012. He is a senator in the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech), auditor of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and on the main board of Bitkom e.V. Mayr is involved in university teaching on a voluntary basis and holds a lectureship at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. For this commitment, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" in summer 2022.
