René Gudjons

Managing Director at BAUER Maschinen GmbH

biography

Special civil engineering equipment from BAUER Maschinen Group shape the global scale. The design and manufacture of machines began around 1970, when there was no suitable equipment for anchor drilling and bored pile production on the market for the Bauer construction company. So Bauer designed and built the first anchor drilling rig UBW according to its own ideas, followed in 1976 by the first rotary drilling rig, the BG 7. Both machines represented a leap forward in innovation and gave new impetus to the use of these construction methods.

While the machines were originally only intended for use in the company's own operations, the company switched to open sales in the mid-1980s. On the one hand, large construction companies demanded Bauer machines, and on the other, it became clear that the high development costs could only be amortized with higher quantities. Bauer took advantage of the new market opportunities.

Since the early 1990s, Bauer has added further equipment to its machine program - partly through the acquisition or founding of new competent companies - and can now offer the entire range of equipment for specialist foundation engineering.

BAUER Maschinen GmbH has been operating independently within the BAUER Group since 2001 and has production, sales and service locations in all major markets worldwide.
