Prof. Dr. Michael Bauer

Prof. Dr. Michael Bauer, Partner & Managing Director of Drees & Sommer AG, spoke on the topic of "Holistic approaches for CO2-neutral factories and companies - tasty low hanging fruits in processes and infrastructure".

After studying at the University of Stuttgart, specializing in energy-saving building technology, Michael Bauer gained several years of experience in planning and implementation. He then completed a doctorate at the University of Stuttgart on the simulation of energy-saving heating systems.

Prof. Dr. Michael Bauer has been with Drees & Sommer since 1999. He has been Managing Director of DS-Plan GmbH and Drees & Sommer Advanced Building Technologies since 2003 and a partner of Drees & Sommer AG since 2005. He is responsible for energy design/energy management/building technology/green building. His focus is on cross-trade planning and optimization in the interplay between indoor climate technology - building physics - façade technology as well as the development of innovative energy concepts and new commissioning methods. Michael Bauer is an honorary member of guideline and technical committees of the VDI and the DGNB. He is an honorary professor at the University of Stuttgart and teaches at the Institute for Building Energetics and the Institute for Construction Management. He has published his knowledge as co-author of the book "Green Building" and many other publications.
