Phillip Man

Philipp Man is co-founder and CEO of terralayr, an energy flexibility company founded in late 2022. Prior to terralayr, Philipp founded and ran CHRONEXT, a leading online marketplace for luxury watches, which he sold in early 2023 to focus on terralayr. Philipp started his career at Glencore in the middle distillates division. Born in Cologne, he studied in the UK at King's College and the University of Cambridge and lives in Switzerland.

terralayr is a provider of flexibility services that provides the flexibility services required for the energy transition. They bundle and virtualize battery energy storage capacities (BESS) from their own and external BESS portfolios in a unique flexibility platform. Through this platform, customers - such as electricity traders, industrial companies, data centers and utilities - can seamlessly access and trade energy flexibility, including physical delivery to their balancing group, without having to own, operate and finance a BESS facility. Our offering ranges from 15-minute contracts to long-term agreements of more than 10 years, allowing asset owners to customize their revenue profile according to their risk appetite.
