Mr. David Simchi-Levi, Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)will give a presentation on "Innovations and Strategies in Supply Chain Management."

In his contribution to the 15th Munich Management Colloquium, Mr. Simchi-Levi will focus in particular on the importance of innovation and choosing the right strategies to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

MIT is a private, non-denominational technical university in Cambridge and is regarded as one of the world's leading universities in the field of technological research and teaching. It is a member of the Association of American Universities, an association of leading research-intensive North American universities that has existed since 1900.

There are currently more than 10,000 students studying at MIT. MIT prides itself on the high standard of education, with students being involved in research activities from an early stage.

David Simchi-Levi has been a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Engineering Systems Division at MIT since 2000 and co-director of the MIT Forum on Supply Chain Innovation, an industry/academic collaboration, since 2002. His current research activities focus on the development and implementation of robust and efficient logistics systems techniques. In addition, Simchi-Levi, Ph.D., who is considered one of the best-known supply chain experts in the world, has published a number of papers, books and journal articles on practical and theoretical aspects of supply chain management and numerous logistics topics.
