Peter Bauer

Peter Bauer, Chairman of the Management Board of Infineon Technologies AGspoke in his presentation about the importance of innovation as a driver of global growth and long-term competitive advantages.

Peter Bauer has been Chief Executive Officer of Infineon Technologies AG since August 2010. Before joining Infineon, Mr. Bauer worked for Siemens AG. Over the years he was responsible for Technical Marketing, Product and Technical Marketing Microcontrollers as well as Head of Chipcard & ID System ICs and Head of Microcomputer ICs, before becoming Head of Sales and Solution Centers from 1997 to 1999. At the same time, Mr. Bauer was President and CEO of Siemens Microelectronics Inc. In 1999, Mr. Bauer became a member of the Management Board, Sales & Marketing of Infineon Technologies AG. Since January 2005, he has been Head of the Automotive, Industrial Electronics and Multimarket (AIM) division and responsible for the central sales functions. In June 2008, he also assumed the function of Spokesman of the Management Board of Infineon Technologies AG.

In his presentation "Strengthening innovative strength - accelerating innovation processes Opportunities for the German semiconductor industry in global competition" at the 18th Munich Management Colloquium, Mr. Bauer will discuss the competitive advantages of the targeted use and promotion of innovations. In particular, he will emphasize the resulting opportunities and challenges.
