Leendert Matheus Schot, CEO LM Wind Power Groupwill speak on the subject of "Cost Engineering: A field report from the aircraft and wind industry".

The LM Wind Power Group is the world's largest supplier of components for the wind industry and supplies over 30 national and global wind turbine manufacturers through its three business segments LM Wind Power Blades, LM Wind Power Service & Logistics and Svendborg Brakes. The 5,803 employees worldwide generated sales of EUR 707.5 million in 2011.

Since June 2012 Leendert Matheus Schot CEO of the LM Wind Power Group. Prior to that, he was CEO of Global Supply Chain at Siemens Wind Power.

Leendert Matheus Schot studied Mechanical Engineering at the Institute of Technology in Rotterdam. He has completed the Executive Development Program DASA and GE Crotonville Manager Development Program and has held various senior and executive positions at Fokker Special Products, Fokker Aircraft, Enron Wind and GE Wind Energy. When Leendert Matheus Schot joined Siemens Wind Power in 2005, the company had just acquired the Danish company Bonus Energy. He was responsible for the worldwide procurement and production network and was instrumental in developing Siemens Wind Power into its current role as a global player.

In addition to his professional activities, Leendert Matheus Schot plays a leading role in various industry associations, including the VLM (Logistic Management Association of the Netherlands).
