Mirko Peglow, Technical Managing Director of IPT-Pergande GmbH in Weißandt-Gölzau, explains how innovations can be used to generate growth in Germany in his presentation "Innovative cutting-edge research as a growth driver for SMEs".
Mirko Peglow has been Technical Managing Director of IPT-Pergande GmbH in Weißandt-Gölzau since January 2011. As part of the Pergande Group, the company focuses on the areas of pelletizing technology, contract manufacturing and filling technology. Born in Magdeburg, he holds a doctorate in process engineering and has been a junior professor for particle-forming fluidized bed processes and head of the Innoprofile junior research group for fluidized bed technology NaWiTec since March 2008. He has also been a member of the board of the "WIGRATEC" growth core since August 2009. After studying industrial engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, he worked as a research assistant, spent research periods abroad and founded the engineering office Anhaltnische Verfahrens- und Anlagentechnik GmbH in 2001. After completing his doctorate in process engineering, Prof. Peglow worked as a senior assistant at the Institute of Process Engineering, Chair of Thermal Process Engineering from 2005 to 2008.
In his contribution to the 19th Munich Management Colloquium, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Ing. Mirko Peglow will discuss how cutting-edge research can act as a long-term and sustainable growth driver for German SMEs. He will present selected concepts and experiences of how IPT-Pergande GmbH has been able to achieve significant growth through innovative cutting-edge research in recent years.
