biography
Jörg Sost, personally liable partner of Freudenberg & Cospoke in his presentation "Organizational responses in decentralized companies to changing market structures" about ways and strategies for central companies to develop solutions in an organizational context to current market developments.
Jörg Sost studied economics at the University of Freiburg and began his professional career in 1972 as a sales representative for data processing at IBM Germany in Stuttgart. In 1975, he joined Deutsche BP in Hamburg as commercial manager of a subsidiary. Seven years later, he took on the role of management spokesman at Heinrich Gillet, a manufacturer of gas flue systems in Edenkoben/Pfalz.
In 1991, Sost moved to Freudenberg and, after the creation of operationally independent subgroups, took over as CEO of Freudenberg Dichtungs- und Schwingungstechnik. Since then, the Business Group has more than doubled its sales. In 2004, Freudenberg Seals and Vibration Control Technology employed some 9,000 people in Europe and generated sales of 1,055 million Euro. On the Freudenberg & Co. Board of Management, Jörg Sost is responsible for the worldwide sealing activities and the rubber flooring business.
In his contribution to the 16th Munich Management Colloquium, Jörg Sost will discuss the real challenges posed by changing market structures. He will specifically address the responses of Freudenberg & Co as a central company and explain its objectives and strategies. Organizational responses to change are the decisive success factor in maintaining competitiveness as a company.
