biography
Janina Kugel is a supervisory board member, senior advisor, speaker and author
Most recently, she was Labor Director and a member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. She was responsible for Human Resources worldwide, including diversity, training and development, social innovation, environmental protection, health management and safety.
Janina Kugel began her career in management consulting at Accenture. In her roles there, she worked for international companies in Europe and the USA with a focus on process reengineering, restructuring and organizational design.
After moving into industry, she held various management positions at Siemens, including in human resources and strategy in Germany, China and Italy. At Osram Licht AG, she was Chief Human Resources Officer with global responsibility for HR, management development and diversity.
Janina Kugel is a member of several supervisory boards, including TUI AG, Kyndryl Inc., USA, Pensionssicherungsverein and the start-up Seatti, and is also co-chair of the BDA Digital Council. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Technical University of Munich and the International Advisory Board of the IESE Business School. She supports initiatives in the non-profit sector and is a trustee of the German AIDS Foundation.
In 2018, she was voted "Prima inter Pares" by a jury on a list of the 100 most influential women in German business, an initiative of Manager Magazin and Boston

Janina Kugel holds a degree in economics and studied at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and the Università degli Studi di Verona, Italy.
Her first book "It's now - Leben, Führen, Arbeiten" was published by Ariston Verlag in April 2021.
The mother of two lives with her family in Munich. In her free time, she goes jogging, plays tennis and the piano.
