Jan Mittendorf

Jan Mittendorf is the Managing Director of TUM's Software/AI Venture Lab in Heilbronn. He and his team are dedicated to helping the next generation of scientific AI and deep tech start-ups develop groundbreaking technologies and succeed in their entrepreneurial journeys. Jan has a diverse background, ranging from graduating in mathematics with a focus on machine learning and the mechanics of neural networks from the Technical University of Munich, to co-founding a computer vision start-up for quality assurance in manual assembly - a venture that, despite eventually closing, provided valuable lessons. He then transitioned into venture consulting in software and AI in Munich, before taking up his current position in Heilbronn.
