Ingrid Weinhold

Ms. Ingrid Weinhold, Managing Director of MABA Spezialmaschinen GmbH in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, spoke about ways and strategies for actively overcoming crises and the associated entrepreneurial challenges in her presentation "My motto even in a crisis: There are no problems, there are only tasks to solve!".

Ms. Ingrid Weinhold has been at the helm of the management of the mechanical engineering company MABA Spezialmaschinen GmbH in the ChemiePark Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt for over 10 years. The company sees itself as both an industrial service provider and a manufacturer of capital goods. The product range includes special machines, systems and units for the capital goods industry, coating and drying technology, filter systems for particle filtration as well as tank and machine construction. In the area of industrial services, technological steel construction, assembly services for chemical apparatus and plant construction, welded constructions and aluminum profile systems are offered.

Ms. Ingrid Weinhold founded MABA Spezialmaschinen GmbH in 1992 as the sole shareholder. She has already received a number of important awards for her commitment, including "Entrepreneur of the State of Saxony-Anhalt". Today, she has around 60 employees and has trained 29 apprentices to date. She invests an impressive 20 % of her annual turnover in research and development. This is ten times the usual figure in Saxony-Anhalt. Ingrid Weinhold is part of the management team of the innovative regional growth core ReaWeC (Reactive WetCoating), which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Scientists and entrepreneurs have been working together in this initiative for several years to develop innovative processes that can be used, for example, to apply ultra-thin coatings to films for solar cell production.

In her contribution to the 17th Munich Management Colloquium, Ingrid Weinhold will discuss how German companies can overcome the current demand crisis in the long term and sustainably with innovative technology development, employee motivation and qualification. She will present concepts and experiences on how MABA Spezialmaschinen GmbH is dealing with the changed market environment and how the company is positioning itself strategically.
