Mr. Holger Jetses, Vice President and General Manager Original Equipment and General Manager Johnson Controls Power Solutions EMEA in Hanover, spoke in his presentation on "Innovative batteries from Johnson Controls - Efficient key products for environmentally friendly mobility" and discussed the contribution of Johnson Controls Inc. to the efficient mass production of lithium-ion batteries as an energy storage system for hybrid, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Johnson Controls Inc. is a globally operating conglomerate with sales of $ 40.8 billion in 2011. An automated pilot plant for the assembly of submodules for lithium-ion batteries is currently being built in Hanover as part of the German project "Schaufenster Elektromobilität". They allow the easy assembly of complete battery systems with different energy storage capacities and different electrical performance. 48-volt systems will also be possible. "We want to use these modules to produce energy storage systems for hybrid, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in small series from 2014. With the knowledge and experience we gain on the test facility, we will be able to make the mass production of lithium-ion batteries even more efficient."
