Hermann W. Brennecke, Chairman of the Management Board of Grundfos GmbHspoke on the subject of "Reducing energy consumption and combating climate change with regulated pumps".

Grundfos GmbH is the German sales company of the Danish Grundfos Group. With more than 16 million units produced and sold annually worldwide, Grundfos is one of the largest manufacturers of pumps and systems for building services, water management and industry. Grundfos has been represented in Germany since 1960. The Grundfos GmbH headquarters are located in Erkrath near Düsseldorf.

Hermann W. Brennecke has headed Grundfos GmbH as Chairman of the Management Board since April 1, 2001. He is also on the Supervisory Board of Hilge GmbH, which also belongs to the Grundfos Group, and on the Supervisory Board of the Grundfos sales companies in Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. In addition to his duties at Grundfos, he is also active on numerous committees - as Chairman of the Board of ARGE Neue Medien, as a member of the Board of the VDMA Pumps & Systems specialist group, as a member of the VDZ Executive Committee and as a member of the Europump Marketing Commission. Born in 1949, the businessman began his career at KSB, where he rose through the ranks to become Sales Director for the Valves business unit. Brennecke was then Managing Director of the OSTACO Group in Zurich.

In his contribution to the 19th Munich Management Colloquium, Hermann W. Brennecke will talk about the potential of using state-of-the-art pump systems to increase resource efficiency.
