Dr. Walter Reinhardt

Dr. Walter Reinhardt, Head of BT Global Manufacturing, Siemens Schweiz AG, Building Technologies Division in Zug, spoke in his presentation on "Success factors for sustainable production - modern production system & optimized global footprint".

After studying business administration in Passau, Dr. Reinhardt completed his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Horst Wildemann at the Technical University of Munich. He supported a large number of companies in the reorganization of production and innovation. In 1993, Dr. Reinhardt joined Siemens as an internal strategic management consultant before becoming plant manager in 1994 and managing director of Landis &Gyr in Rastatt in 1997. Since 2001, Dr. Reinhardt has been responsible for the operations of the HVP business unit at Siemens Building Technologies and, since 2006, for all Siemens Building Technologies production sites worldwide.

In his contribution to the 17th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr. Walter Reinhardt will discuss the effects of the crisis on Siemens Building Technologies' locations and the success factors that determine sustainable production.
