Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Viethen

Dr. Ulrich Viethen holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the iwb at the Technical University of Munich. He began his industrial career at Joh. Vaillant GmbH & Co. KG, followed by a variety of management positions at the Siemens technology group, most recently in the field of medical technology in Germany and the USA.

In the years that followed, Viethen played a key role in shaping the development of major companies in the industry as Managing Director: at Johann Borgers GmbH & Co. KG, he managed the fortunes of a leading supplier of textile system components for the automotive industry. He then took over the management of AMK Holding GmbH & Co. KG, an innovation leader for electrical, decentralized drive technology.

Viethen has been CEO of the Murrelektronik Group in Oppenweiler/Baden-Württemberg since 2019. Under his leadership, the company is developing dynamically into a leading international specialist for decentralized, cabinet-free automation and installation technology.
