Dr. Ulrich Eisele, Head of Department OSRAM Excellence Europe, OSRAM GmbH, in Munichspoke in his presentation "OSRAM Excellence - Relaunching the production system in Germany" about the importance of solution-oriented services to ensure the long-term competitiveness of German companies.

Osram GmbH is a company with a strong international focus and around 39,000 employees worldwide, headquartered in Munich. In fiscal year 2009 (end of September), sales amounted to 4 billion euros. OSRAM is one of the two largest lighting manufacturers in the world and has 46 production sites in 17 countries.

Dr. Ulrich Eisele was born in Bonn in 1976, studied business administration at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and then worked as a consultant at TCW Transfer-Centrum GmbH & Co. KG. Parallel to his work as a consultant, he obtained his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) at the Technical University of Munich. Since 2006, Dr. Eisele has been working as Project Manager Strategy at Osram and is responsible for the implementation of global portfolio projects, strategic planning and M&A projects. From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Eisele was responsible for the strategic planning processes in the Industry Sector at Siemens AG, Industry Sector. Since 2010, he has headed the OSRAM Excellence Europe department and oversees the implementation and further development of the OSRAM production system at the OSRAM sites in Central, Southern and Eastern Europe.

In his contribution to the 18th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr. Ulrich Eisele will discuss how a targeted strategy for the production system in Germany can create added value and, using the example of Osram, sustainably increase the competitiveness of German companies in the context of global industrialization.
