Dr. Till Reuter was born in 1968 in Eltville (Rheingau), he is married and has 2 children. After graduating from university and completing his military service, he studied business administration in Mannheim and St. Gallen as well as law in Mannheim and Constance. In 1990 he received a scholarship from the DAAD. He graduated as lic.oec. HSG in 1993, followed by his first state examination in law in 1994 in Constance/Baden-Württemberg. During his legal clerkship, Till Reuter worked in law firms in Brazil and the USA. He passed his second state examination in law in 1997 and obtained his doctorate in economics (St. Gallen) in 1998.
Till Reuter then worked for Shearman&Sterling in the area of mergers and acquisitions and advised on the mergers of Daimler with Chrysler and VeBA with VIAG to form EON, among others. Building on this experience, he held various positions in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers for around 10 years. Even before the banking crisis, Till Reuter left investment banking and founded his own holding and investment company RINVEST. One of his first investments was KUKA.
From 2009, Till Reuter was initially a member of the Supervisory Board, then Chairman of the Supervisory Board and finally took over operational responsibility for Kuka AG as CEO. After repositioning Kuka and leading it out of the crisis, he diversified the company into new products and regions and, in particular, established and intensified innovation partnerships with DLR, the Frauenhofer Gesellschaft, Stanford University and the KUKA Chair of Robotic at Georgia Tech. In 2014, Till Reuter was voted Entrepreneur of the Year at the Sauren Awards.
During his time as CEO, Till Reuter was an active member of the VDMA, BDI and the Bavarian Research Foundation. In 2015, he was awarded the Innovation Prize of German Industry for KUKA.
After leaving Kuka, Till Reuter was appointed to the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller in 2019. In addition to his operational activities, Till Reuter invests in and advises various start-ups in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence and digitalization. Since the summer semester of 2018, he has been a lecturer at TUM on the topic of "Globalization and digitalization as a challenge".
Till Reuter has been CEO at dormakaba since 2023.
