Dr. Thomas Rüschen, Global Head of Asset Finance & Leasing, Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt am Mainspoke in his presentation about the challenges and long-term opportunities of the Desertec initiative from a financial perspective.

After studying business administration in Mannheim and completing his doctorate in Frankfurt am Main, Dr. Thomas Rüschen found his way to Deutsche Bank, where he has worked in the European financial markets since 1990. Initially Senior Relationship Manager in London, he headed the corporate client business in continental Europe and finally moved to Italy as Country Manager. Today, he heads Asset Finance & Leasing, a department responsible for financing durable goods worldwide, including in the field of renewable energies. In addition to his seat in the Global Banking Exco, he is also a member of the Environmental Steering Committee, which coordinates Deutsche Bank's climate change-related offerings and activities.
