Dr. Sigrid Evelyn Nikutta

Dr. Sigrid Nikutta has been Member of the Board of Management for Freight Transport at Deutsche Bahn AG and Chairwoman of the Management Board of DB Cargo AG since January 1, 2020. DB Cargo AG is Europe's largest rail freight company, operating in 17 countries and, with its 30,000 employees, forms the backbone of the European economy. Previously, she was CEO of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe for almost ten years and led the company into the black for the first time. From 1996-2010, she held various management positions at DB AG. Dr. Sigrid Nikutta studied psychology and received her doctorate from LMU Munich in 2009. She is also on the Executive Committee of the Association of Berlin Merchants and Industrialists (VBKI), Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) and a member of the Supervisory Board of Knorr-Bremse AG.
