Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel

Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel, Member of the Executive Board of Pfleiderer AG, will speak in his presentation "Designing a global production system" about sustainably securing profitable growth within a global manufacturing network.

Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel has been a member of the Executive Board of Pfleiderer AG in Neumarkt since September 2006. Listed on the MDAX, Pfleiderer AG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of engineered wood. Pfleiderer AG produces core materials and finishing products for international customers at a total of 23 production sites in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and North America. By exploiting growth potential, tapping new markets and making acquisitions, sales increased by 31% in the first half of 2007 and are expected to reach 1.9 billion euros in FY 2007. Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel, member of the Executive Board, is responsible for Technology and Operations/Plants and thus assumes responsibility for all plants in the Pfleiderer Group.

Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel studied production engineering and was a research assistant for production automation and production systems at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg until 1995. In 1995, Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel received his doctorate in engineering. After completing his doctorate, he moved to REHAU AG & Co. where he held task force assignments as interim plant manager in various international plants until 2000. Between 2000 and 2002, he took over the position of Head of Department on the staff of the Supervisory Board. Before Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel moved to Pfleiderer AG as a member of the Executive Board at the end of 2006, he was Chief Operations Officer and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RAUMEDIC AG between 2002 and 2006.
