Dr. Volker Pötzsch

Brigadegeneral Dr. Pötzsch was responsible for the strategic management of the areas of digitalization, cyber, IT, artificial intelligence and IT innovation management as a sub-department head at the Federal Ministry of Defence. Equipped with the experience and expertise from various commander assignments and assignments as a consultant and head of division in the Federal Ministry of Defense, he led a task force in Slovakia in 2022/2023 to protect against Russian threats and was most recently responsible for armaments and procurement in the IT sector. He was also responsible for the strategic and content management of the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub and the Agency for Innovation in Cybersecurity GmbH, which highlighted his expertise in the area of start-ups and innovation.
