biography
Dr. Nadine Sterley has been Chief Sustainability Officer at GEA, a leading international machine and plant manufacturer for the food and pharmaceutical industries, since April 2021. Dr. Sterley is driving the sustainable transformation and economic development of GEA.
Their aim is to develop innovative solutions that offer both ecological and economic added value. Under her leadership, GEA has made significant progress in the areas of energy efficiency, process optimization and resource conservation. A prime example is the completely climate-neutral production facility for smoothies that GEA has built together with Innocent in Rotterdam.
Dr. Sterley studied law in Rostock and Gothenburg and obtained her doctorate in Frankfurt am Main. She began her career as a lawyer in an international commercial law firm before taking on various management positions at GEA.
As a member of the founding jury of the MMK Award of Excellence 2025, Dr. Sterley focuses on promoting projects and companies that achieve economic growth, change and sustainable success through innovative technologies and management strategies.
