Dr. Monika Lessl

Dr. Monika Lessl is Senior Vice President of Bayer AG and Head of Corporate R&D and Social Innovation. As a board member of the Bayer Foundation, she is responsible for its activities in the field of science and social innovation. She is a member of the global R&D Executive Committee of Bayer AG. In her role, she drives transformation processes in R&D and access to new technologies through cross-functional research and collaborations. She leads the topics of scientific governance and integrity and is active in the dialog between science and society. In addition to Corporate R&D, she is responsible for Bayer's global social commitment with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
