Dr. Michael Bolle

Dr. Michael Bolle holds a doctorate in engineering and has held management positions at Bosch since 1992 - with an interruption as founder of a high-tech start-up from 1999 to 2002. Most recently, he was a member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Digital Officer (CDO).

During his time at Bosch, Dr. Bolle has driven forward the establishment of the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence and the connection between the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence (AIoT), among other things.

As Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Carl Zeiss Foundation, he acts as a link between the foundation and the foundation companies ZEISS & SCHOTT and represents the economic interests of the Carl Zeiss Foundation vis-à-vis the foundation companies.

Michael Bolle has a keen interest in innovation and new technologies. Today, he works in the fields of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies and collaborates with deep-tech start-ups in this area. He is currently the spokesperson for the Quantum Systems Program Committee of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
