Kiekert AG, based in Heiligenhaus, is a technology leader in locking systems for the global automotive industry. In 2012, Kiekert AG achieved a turnover of 550 billion euros worldwide with over 4000 employees. Its locking systems are used in all vehicle classes from Maybach to Maruti. This makes it the global number one when it comes to locks and central locking systems for cars. As the developer and producer of most inventions in the field of automotive locking systems, Kiekert AG is the innovation leader and constant partner for every vehicle manufacturer.

Dr. Karl Krauseborn in 1960, has been CEO of Kiekert AG, headquartered in Heiligenhaus, since 2007. He initiated a realignment of the company at Kiekert and introduced a global structure that paved the way for long-term growth and sustainable market success. Dr. Krause has many years of industry experience in the global automotive market. Prior to joining Kiekert, Dr. Krause was Vice President Manufacturing at Visteon from 2002 to 2006, where he was responsible for major strategic realignments for various divisions in Europe and South America. His previous professional positions include operational management positions at TRW Automotive, ITT Automotive and Brose. Dr. Krause studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Clausthal. He completed his doctorate in production engineering in 1989.
