Dr. John Herold is Executive Vice President of the family-owned company DELO with responsibility for North and South America. In his lecture "Success through specialization - strategies for leadership in technology markets", he explains how the competitiveness of a globally active company can be sustainably ensured through individual and innovative customer solutions.
DELO is a leading manufacturer of industrial adhesives based in Windach near Munich. The company offers customized special adhesives and equipment systems for applications in special industries ranging from electronics to the chip card and automotive supply industries as well as in glass and plastics processing. Its customers include companies such as Bosch, Daimler, Festo, Infineon, NXP and Siemens. DELO has a network of worldwide subsidiaries, agencies and sales partners.
John Herold is a qualified industrial engineer and business graduate. While working as a management consultant for several years, he completed his doctorate in logistics management at the Technical University of Munich in 2003.
After working for Siemens in the U.S. and several years as Managing Director of the internationally producing LAPP Group in Stuttgart, John Herold joined the family-owned company DELO west of Munich as part of the succession plan. There he manages the subsidiary in the U.S.A. based in Boston and is responsible for the expansion of the group of companies in North and South America.
