biography
Jochen Eickholt has been Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy since March 2022.
He studied electrical engineering at the RWTH in Aachen and at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London. After graduating with a degree in engineering, he completed his doctorate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology in Aachen.
Jochen Eickholt has been with Siemens since 1999 and has held various management positions in Germany and abroad over the years: he was Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Elektropřístroje s.r.o. in the Czech Republic, Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Home and Office Communications, Chief Executive Officer of Rail Automation and Chief Executive Officer of Rail Systems. From 2014 to 2017, he was Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Mobility before taking on the role of Head of Integration Management for Siemens Alstom in 2017. He was then Chairman and Managing Partner of Siemens Portfolio Companies.
Most recently, he was a member of the Management Board of Siemens Energy Management GmbH from January 2020 to February 2022 and a member of the Managing Board of Siemens Energy AG from April 2020 to February 2022. On the Managing Board, he was responsible for the Power Generation and Industrial Applications Divisions as well as for Asia-Pacific and China.
