Dr.-Ing. Karl Tragl, Chairman of the Board of Management of Bosch Rexroth AG in Lohr am Mainspoke in his presentation "Changing mechanical engineering markets - approaches and consequences" about new ways and strategies for mechanical engineering markets to ensure competitiveness and their impact on the economy.

Dr.-Ing. Karl Tragl began his professional career as a doctor of engineering in the Corporate Planning and Development department of Siemens AG in Munich. He was a partner in Siemens Management Consulting, which was created in 1996 from the merger of the in-house consulting companies. In 1998, he took over the management of the globally active Siemens Standard Drives division based in England. From there he moved to Mannesmann Rexroth AG in Lohr and in 2001, following the merger with Bosch Automationstechnik to form Bosch Rexroth AG, he became responsible for global service in the factory automation sector. He has been a member of the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth AG since 2008 and has shaped the realignment of the company with a focus on markets and industries. Karl Tragl took over as Chairman of the Management Board of Bosch Rexroth AG on July 1, 2010. In addition to his professional activities, Dr.-Ing. Karl Tragl is a member of the Advisory Board of the Hannover Messe trade fair, a member of the VDMA's Mechanical Engineering Summit Advisory Board, a member of the Executive Board of the VDMA's Fluid Technology Association and a member of the Advisory Board of the ZVEI's Electrical Drives Division.

In his contribution to the 19th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr.-Ing. Karl Tragl will speak about mechanical engineering markets and their transformation. In particular, resource optimization is a key buzzword in this industry. In addition, the effects of change on the economy and companies will be highlighted.
