Dr.-Ing. Johannes Schmidt has been a member of the Board of Management of INDUS Holding AG since January 2006 and took over the position of Chairman of the Board of Management in July 2018. Before joining INDUS, Dr. Schmidt was the sole managing director of ebm-papst Landshut GmbH, a leading manufacturer of ventilation motors and fans. Here, he played a key role in the development of new product platforms and the internationalization of the production sites.
He began his professional career at Richard Bergner GmbH, a manufacturer of electrical fittings in Schwabach. He initially took on development tasks there and was promoted to Managing Director over the course of his 12-year career. Dr. Schmidt studied mathematics and obtained a doctorate in mechanics from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
His many years of experience in various industries and his leadership skills make him a formative personality in the German SME landscape.
