Dr. Horst J. Kayser

Dr. Horst J. Kayser, Chairman of the Executive Board of KUKA Aktiengesellschaft in Augsburg, spoke in his presentation "Entrepreneurship and synergy management: fast and efficient for the customer" about KUKA Aktiengesellschaft's strategy as a global technology company to exploit new growth opportunities through efficiency, innovative strength and technology leadership.

Dr. Horst J. Kayser has been Chairman of the Executive Board of KUKA Aktiengesellschaft in Augsburg since October 1, 2008. Dr. Kayser holds a degree in industrial engineering and management in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University in Cambridge, USA. Dr. Kayser received his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) from the University of Mannheim. His first professional position was as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. In 1995, Dr. Kayser moved to Siemens Management Consulting and took over its management in 1998. In 2001, Dr. Kayser became Head of the Industrial Automation Systems Division in the Siemens Automation & Drives (A&D) Group in Nuremberg (worldwide profit responsibility, sales of EUR 1.5 billion). In 2004, he became President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Ltd. in South Korea. From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Kayser was Chief Strategy Officer of Siemens AG in Munich. Before joining KUKA AG, Dr. Kayser was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Siemens/UK and the North-West Europe regional cluster.

In his contribution to the 16th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr. Horst J. Kayser will discuss how KUKA Aktiengesellschaft, as a global technology company with innovative automation solutions for industrial production processes in the Robotics and Systems divisions, is strategically addressing the requirements of tomorrow's markets.
