Dr. Holger Engelmann

Dr. Holger Engelmann, Chairman of the Management Board of Webasto SE, Stockdorf spoke on the topic of "Automotive suppliers in the global field of tension of modularization 4.0".

Webasto has been a supplier to the automotive industry for over 75 years. As an internationally active market leader for roof and temperature management systems, development, production and sales have been set up close to customers worldwide. Today, Webasto is one of the 100 largest suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide and one of the top 15 in the German supplier industry. In 2012, the group generated sales of over 2.4 billion euros and employs more than 10,000 people. The company has more than 50 locations worldwide - including more than 30 production sites. Webasto's core competencies include the development and production of complete roof and convertible roof systems for passenger cars as well as heating, cooling and ventilation systems for passenger cars, commercial, special and rail vehicles, motorhomes and boats. The company also offers parking heaters and sunroofs for retrofitting to end customers. The know-how from the automotive industry is specifically transferred to other types of vehicles.

Holger Engelmannborn in Krefeld in 1965, heads Webasto SE and the Roof Systems division. After studying business administration in Münster and Cologne, with a one-year stay abroad in the USA, he completed his doctorate at the University of Cologne. Dr. Engelmann then worked in corporate planning and project controlling at Fichtel und Sachs from 1993 to 1998. Before moving to Webasto SE, the global market leader for roof and thermal systems, Dr. Engelmann held various management positions at Mannesmann Plastics Machinery from 1998 to 2007, most recently as CFO of the group of companies. In 2008, he took over the Management Board of the Roof Systems division of Webasto SE and became Chairman of the Management Board in 2013.
