Dr. Erich Groher, Director of Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebankspoke in his presentation "Cost efficiency as a success factor" about strategies and methods to ensure market leadership and position as a bank in the healthcare sector through cost efficiency.
Dr. Erich Groher is Director of Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank (apoBank). apoBank is a financial institution that is a competent partner especially for members of the medical professions. Dr. Erich Groher completed his studies in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich in 1995. He then went on to complete postgraduate studies in labor and economics, which he successfully completed in 1999. From 1998 to 2002, he completed his doctorate in the field of supplier management. Until 2004, he also worked as Head of Purchasing in a management consultancy. As part of his work as a management consultant, he carried out numerous projects in the field of supplier management and corporate purchasing. Following his time as a management consultant, Dr. Erich Groher worked as a project manager in purchasing at the BMW Group. In 2006, he moved to the purchasing department of WestLB, where he took on the roles of Head of Purchasing Non-IT and authorized signatory. Since 2009, Dr. Erich Groher has been Director of Purchasing at Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank.
In his contribution to the 18th Munich Management Colloquium, Dr. Erich Groher will show which strategies and approaches are suitable for creating a sustainably optimized cost structure in order to successfully survive as a premium provider in a globalized world with intense competition. He will present his experience as the Director of Purchasing at a financial institution.
