Regenerative technologies in particular, such as solar thermal systems or pellet heating appliances, are of central importance. The Vaillant Group includes eight other renowned brands in the field of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology. The Vaillant Group has 11 production sites worldwide, primarily in Europe and China. In addition, the Vaillant Group is represented in more than 20 countries with its own sales locations and exports its products to over 60 other countries. There are a total of four locations in Germany. With more than 12,000 employees, the company generated sales of €2,276 million in the 2011 financial year. This makes the Vaillant Group the second largest company in this sector in Europe. In 2011, the company received the German Sustainability Award in the category "Germany's most sustainable products/services" for its outstanding commitment to sustainability.

Dr. Carsten Voigtländer was born in Neumünster in 1963 and has been Managing Director of the Vaillant Group since September 1, 2009. Dr. Voigtländer studied mechanical and process engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he graduated with a diploma and then a doctorate. He then worked in various positions at Neumag and most recently as CEO at Oerlikon Textile. Dr. Voigtländer has been Chairman of the Vaillant Group Management Board since January 2011 and has also been responsible for Sales and Marketing since November 2011.
